Mass-media bombards our children with more information choices than any generation before. What positive influences do young children have access to in uncontrolled environments such as cable TV, u-tube, i-pods, cell phones, and Internet websites? 

Instinctively, we want our children exposed to examples of excellence, dependability, and respect. But when we send our children off to school click here to purchase special can we trust they will learn to behave bravely, tell the truth, and be helpful, humble and kind? 

Today’s role models can be cartoon characters such as Bob the Builder and Dora the Explorer, or they can be people like NBA basketball player Koby Bryant and the popular entertainer Miley Cyrus. Even though no one cartoon character or individual person can have every attribute of the inherently good, all too often exemplary role models we’d like our children exposed to are in short supply.
