SLYDE The Playground Hound is sponsored by Detmers parent company,
BCI BURKE. The response to SLYDE by the adults at the trade show was
tremendous. You can just imagine how the children respond to him when
Detmers takes him to a school for a new playground opening. "The very
first person who came by the booth was a little boy, he was about
3-4 years old. He was so amazed by Slyde, he didn't want to let go
of his hand", commented Rhonda Davis of Detmers. Rhonda spoke to several
officials and particularly risk managers who were very interested
in learning more about the program and using it to teach children
their role in playing safe. SLYDE was also accompanied by sales staff
Amy Kowack and Bruce Begg. Greg Lee, also of Detmers was doubling
with SLYDE at a different convention in San Francisco, the NAESP.
