Chubbuck working to install three new playgrounds

CHUBBUCK - Three new playgrounds are in the process of being built in Chubbuck. Parks Superintendent Larry Miller has worked to improve the city's park and playground equipment services for city residents. Miller has worked for more than 25 years for the city of Chubbuck.

A recent push to put in new playground equipment comes with the new housing development. The city plans to make a network of walkways and area for families to play and recreate. Under Miller's direction, the city recently purchased and installed four picnic shelters to provide much needed shade at already established playground sites.

Additionally, plans are in the works to open the newly installed playground equipment with a live appearance from SLYDE The Playground Hound. SLYDE is the nation's playground safety icon who teaches children their role in playing safe
