It’s official: Race results between celebrity Pooches, North Fremont High School mascot, Husky Dog, AKA, Kyle Dummer , against SLYDE The Playground Hound, the nation’s playground safety icon in a ear-flopping, snow- gusting, hound-howling DOGGY-SHOW-DOWN at HIGH-NOON ON MAIN STREET, of Ashton today, Friday, February 19, 2010, was won by North Fremont mascot, Husky Dog.
Also racing were Elementary School principal, Jaci Hill and elementary age teacher LaDawn Goebel, cheered on by the students of Ashton Elementary. Other local celebrities of the Ashton and Eastern Idaho area raced as well.
The Ashton Dog Derby is a two-day event; even though the official racing of the American Dog Derby, the oldest running dog sled event in the world, originally started in 1917, and continued its tradition today – there is more dog-gone family fun and racing Saturday, February 20, 2010.
